For over 3 years Simone has sponsored a kindergarten school in a remote village in the Gambia (see map at right). Simone got involved through her best friend's father, Richard Kirkham, who also sponsors the secondary school in the village. Each year Simone and the Kirkham family travel inland for 4 hours, visiting the school in Kolagi and bringing the children and teachers basic necessities.
Simone and the Kirkhams have teamed up with registered charity Shine Africa, which specialises in raising money for various schools in the Gambia. Click the icon to watch.
In June 2005 Simone visited the victims of the tsunami in Sri Lanka (see map below left). Since then, inspired by its work there, Simone has become a supporter of the British Red Cross.
Help a London Child
Simone has worked with Help a London Child, both raising money through charitable events and personally visiting safe houses with mothers and their children.
The Dog's Trust
As a dog lover and owner, Simone continues to sponsor a dog with Dogs Trust, the UK's largest dog welfare charity. She has been a member of Dogs Trust (previously NCDL) for over 5 years.

Simone joins Lady Verma of Leciester at the House of Lords as part of the Nomination Panel for The Asian Awards 2010.
Earlier this year Simone met with Secretary of State, (the then) CSF Ed Balls as part of Kids In The Middle coalition to advise on government Green Papers to provide better support new parents.
Simone is voted one of the 50 Most Beautiful Asian Women by number 1 Asian Newspaper, Eastern Eye.
